Launch events in Asia

Kaleidoscope is pleased to announce a series of exclusive events running throughout the fall in Asian art capitals such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai in celebration of the release of Issue 19 (fall 2013), a special edition dedicated to contemporary art and culture produced in the Asia Pacific region.

The release of this special edition—the first product of an ongoing investigation, evidencing Kaleidoscope‘s commitment towards establishing a presence in Asia—will inaugurate, in addition to the standard international circulation, an extended distribution in Asian countries.

Organized in partnership with Art Stage Singapore, the leading art fair of South East Asia, the launch of Kaleidoscope’s Asia special issue will take place during the official opening of the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art under the direction of Ute Meta Bauer.

HONG KONG

Editor-in-chief Alessio Ascari will join Duddell’s founder Alan Lo in a presentation of Kaleidoscope’s Asia special issue, followed by a cocktail reception kindly hosted and organized in partnership with Duddell’s, a cultural and social destination for art lovers.

SHANGHAI
November 1, 2–4 pm 
Aurora Museum

Hosted by the newly opened, Tadao Ando-designed Aurora Museum and co-organized with Arthub Asia, Davide Quadrio conducts a conversation with writer Li Zhenhua, young artist Li Ran and Kaleidoscope‘s Editor-in-Chief Alessio Ascari.

Kaleidoscope is an international quarterly of contemporary art and culture founded in 2009 in Milan. Distributed worldwide on a seasonal basis, it has gained widespread recognition as a trusted and timely guide to the present (but also to the past and possible futures) with an interdisciplinary and unconventional approach.
